Well, SK is great and all but I'll be skipping off to find my Nan and Pops...tell him hello though!
Well, I think it is funny that if you look at all the religions they all say the same thing: My way or the highway and I'll be back. Every single one: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Krishna et al and yet they basically have the same path to God: be good and love people etc. I have a little idea growing in my brain of a story about how one day they all return at the same time---boy what a traffic jam! Could be fun.

Wow! That was amazing so many writers and you all maintain the same tone! Bravo/Brava! I can't wait till next year--that will be fun!
Christine... It really is a fun collaboration. You have a great imagination and it is fun to see the story take shape.
Who decides to start? And how do you know who goes next?
They post a message to board members and also sometimes people are asked (like the girls just did with you 8). So a thread is opened to brainstorm, and there is someone who works with all the members and coordinates. We all get a number and that is the order we go in. There is usually plenty of time to watch it grow and formulate a bit to add. It is fun to be part of the process. I'm an ordinary person but I got to play this past Halloween. Looking forward to this upcoming year as well...
Next year may have to be a little different as we don't have the social groups to use while the story is still formulating. It may work via the "Conversations"...? I'm not sure how many people can be added to a 'conversation', will have to talk to Jordan about that at some later stage.
When we first started, we did not have the conversation option either...I do not think Flake. It is so long ago, I disremember lol. Oh we are old...and need to wear our trowsers rolled. Throws a peach to Flake*
When we did the first couple of stories we didn't have the threaded MB, so the first person started and passed their piece on to Marsha, she would post it to the MB, then the next person would have their turn--and so on. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work for Marsha.
(In the very beginning, we had only hours between writers! Crazy, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants stuff.)

No, he doesn't have any input on the stories.
(Ms. Mod did pass the first couple on to him and I remember him commenting on the first one, but after that his work schedule was just too busy so the stories became a 'by the fans, for the fans' kind of thing.... and have been for years. The first story was written back in 2005.)

With my luck the afterlife would include being stuck in Roland's world that's moving on. I'd probably say, "Cr*p! Stephen King is
