I checked the BBCAmerica network to see if it was on the said-yule and it isn't :( Before BBCAmerica came about, our PBS network used to show lots of British sci-fi and comedy - Blakes 7, Red Dwarf, older Doctor Who episodes, Hitchhikers Guide, etc.

BBCAmerica airs a lot of Star Trek shows. Is Star Trek popular in Britain?

It definitely was. I remember watching re-runs of the original show with my Dad when I was kid on primetime BBC1 (back when we only had three channels in total, so that was a big deal). The Next Generation, Voyager and Deep Space 9 were also popular later on, but they got kicked around the schedules on BBC2 a lot and probably suffered because of it (I only dipped in and out of those myself). Think Enterprise didn't do much here and I have no idea how the new show is being received. There are a lot of dedicated Trekkers here though, judging by the number of conventions etc.
