It's official now, I might lose my job!!

I and my co workers heard news about what's going to happen to the gas station
we are working in now. They are looking for a new entrepreneur to August 1st, if they
not find a new one, the gas station is closing and we all have to start to look for new
jobs. Our two boss didn't inform us that they stop to run the gas station, we read
it in the news paper that they looking for a new entrepreneur. Great, this is the way
how our bosses treat their workers. They don't tell us anything, even if they promised.

Anyway, just in case I must start to look for a new job. They still haven't found a right
person who can continue to run the gas station. When I had my winter vacation earlier
this year, I was and tried a new possible job, to deliever mail. My uncle and a friend of
him have a own post company and I asked my uncle if I can come and work for him maybe and he said yes why not, I really liked it, only disadvantage is that it's nightwork but I think I'll get used to it, hopefully. He promised some workshifts in July already, so I hope I get some. Otherwise I have to look for somethings else.

I really need a new job, Juho said that we can live with his salary, but I don't want that my man have to support me and I don't get much money at all. We however divid everything and I don't want to leave all grocery shopping, my critters, my car etc etc..
on my partner. I want to take part too. That's what relationships are for.

Let's hope I find a new job. July 31st is our last work day if they don't find a new boss.

We can only keep our fingers crossed and see what's happening.....

Sending out many positives vibes your way, Johanna. Keep looking and maybe you'll find a perfect job. You always sounded so busy at the gas station. That was not very nice of the boss , and that you had to read about it in the newspaper. You and your co workers have given much of yourselves to that workplace. Shame on the bosses!

What a horrible way to find out. Hopefully it'll all work out and whoever replaces the current bosses will be more open with, and appreciative of, the staff.
Is there no way all of you could form a collective and try to buy the current owners out? It'd need some help from the banks, no doubt, but if you got together and came up with a viable business plan they might go for it. Nothing to lose by discussing it between yourselves and/or giving it a try.

Eek! Have you talked to your bosses since reading the newspaper? Hopefully they didn't say anything to y'all because they believe the new owners wish to keep the existing employees. I'm glad you have your uncle's post company to fall back on if necessary. I understand your wish to pull your own weight but if you do need to find another job come August, do not feel guilty if Juho's salery covers all the expenses while you're looking for a new job

Yes very long time ago. but it's difficult to get a job in the field and the salary is quite bad. But yes it have crossed my mind many times.

Is there no way all of you could form a collective and try to buy the current owners out?

No one of us wants to buy them out, we are all so tired of everything they've done so far. But maybe the new one is better. And
besides the gas station is old and need a renovation. We don't want to put our money's on that. Even if we had a chance.

I promised to keep you updated about the job. OK now the new owners for the gas station have been found and they are
going to continue to run it from August. But we still don't know if we are going to continue to work for them. These two owners have
another restaurant that they end with and four of their workers comes to work in the gas station, so there won't be place for all of us
to work there anymore. They are going to interview us soon I think and then choose who they are taking. Please keep your fingers
crossed that I am one of the lucky to be chosen. Will let you know as soon as I know more.......
