Yeah -- "Okay" is certainly apt....I find Nora Robert's actual writing to be "stock', with a frustrating lack of innuendos or metaphors, or just illustrative writing in general....but what I have discovered by reading this series as that she is a remarkably intelligent woman, and seems to have an incredibly strong grasp of knowledge about a wide variety of subjects including physics, astronomy, history, medical, etc. ........

The series has its ups and down, and flirts with supernatural on the rarest of occasions (which is why I thought Id mention it here)

..but what makes the series interesting to me is the characters...She did a remarkable job of developing them and evolving them into real people over the course of the current series, annd they are all chock full of little quirks and personality traits that make me miss them after each book. :)
