Jericho is alive and well.

Here are new pictures of Cecil's cubs, who are being protected by their uncle.

Observers say that Jericho no longer cries out for Cecil, and is settling into his role as the king of the pride.

humans are so arrogant. The animal kingdom never ceases to amaze me.
Amen. I saw an article about how some company is displacing people so that they can build a dam and flood I don't know how many hundreds (thousands) of acres of rain forest. I'd kind of like for my great grandchildren to be able to take a deep breath. The arrogance of man, and his shortsightedness, are staggering. I wish I had a few billion dollars lying around. I'd buy up the rain forest and preserve it. I'd leave the people there alone. They were there first.

On the show "Human Planet", there was this guy that has dedicated his life to helping preserve the indigenous tribes that are still scattered through the jungles. There are some that still have not been "discovered" or studied, and his goal is to let these people remain pure. He stated that these tribes are the last free people on earth, and I completely agree. I'm just glad there's at least one person like this out there. Maybe more will follow in his footsteps...

I should've said, "civilized" humans are arrogant.
