Having trouble liking this one after 150 pages or so. Has anyone here read it? Wondering if it stays consistent throughout or if it picks up the pace the more it moves along. Reminds me a bit of Cell in terms of pacing. Thanks

I love writing to Joe. Personal handwritten letters saying things like 'How did you get out of my attic?' or "It's time for you to get back in my attic.' or 'My attic misses you.' Stuff like that. So far he hasn't personally replied but I did get a letter from his lawyer asking me to 'cease and disist' and I can't be within 500 feet of him......Love Joe's writing.
...and his dad won’t let me tour his kitchen....The unmitigated gall!....I love writing to Joe. Nightmares and Dreamscapes is so varied. You'll love it.Ok, ok. Finally finished. I'm back to S. King. I have read all of the novels in order (finally) and now I'm starting the short story collections I hadn't previously read. Nightmares and Dreamscapes is first.
I love this book. Re-read it a few times.I have The Fireman sitting in my bookshelf. Haven't picked it up yet; other things keep cutting in line. I started reading Nightmare and Dreamscapes years ago and still haven't gotten through it. Not because it's bad, I have quite enjoyed it, it just been a slow goer for me.
So good to see you.Hope all is well.I love this book. Re-read it a few times.
Much the same for me. I thought I was going to be bitterly disappointed but, around 150-200 pages it turned the corner and actually ended up being my favourite book that year.Having trouble liking this one after 150 pages or so. ....other than my previously posted comments about him overdoing the "Dad" Easter Eggs, it was a good read.....Much the same for me. I thought I was going to be bitterly disappointed but, around 150-200 pages it turned the corner and actually ended up being my favourite book that year.
I must tell you, you must read some Joe Hill. Try the short story collections. Not for any other than they are great reads. 20th Century Ghosts is wonderful as is Heart Shaped Box. Promise me you'll try one.Other than a few Locke and Key graphic novels, I've never pursued the writing of sai Kings progeny. My loss I'm sure, but I've got a bugaboo in my head about nepotism and opportunity. 'Small-minded' of me for sure, but that's the way I'm bent.
Hi doowopgirl! I wasn't going to promise but I saw the exact book you were speaking of in a bargain bin for 8 bucks, so I picked it up. I will put it on the winter pile and enjoy it then. I'm sure it'll be good. Thx, malI must tell you, you must read some Joe Hill. Try the short story collections.
