I was wondering if anyone was willing to check out a short horror story I just finished and let me know if I did good at living up to the On Writing standards. I listened to the On Writing audiobook at work and then wrote this story based on the teachings. Here's a link to a site I posted it on,
The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Short Story Horror on Booksie

King has always been my favorite writer, and every book of his leaves me inspired to do something more with my life. And once I got into Joe Hill, I realized that King was just handing out his advice and talents and that he had molded his kid into the next prodigy. So I read On Writing, and am now in training to become Joe Hill's rival.

I wrote a novel, and after months of editing, I have self-published it on Amazon. It is on a free giveaway today, so if anyone is interested, you can get it now.
It deals with poverty, addiction, and Lovecraftian horrors. I recommend reading it on 4/20.

The link in my first post to that story doesn't work any longer, but the short story it linked to is printed at the ending of my book as a bonus story.

It was On Writing that brought me to this board. And while it wasn't the inspiration for me to write, it has definitely provided great insight and foundation.

Good luck with your writing!
