My son is starting a new job today (well - he says it is a 'work experience'). I am a bit nervous for him so even though this is not the thread about "positive vibes" etc. if you could say a prayer for him and send good wishes that would be appreciated.
He had to wear safety boots - the kind with steel toes. It's a company called Pakmark Ltd. and they do all kinds of labels, tapes, packaging, decals etc.
The part he likes is that they have a line of sports related products (like for the Winnipeg Jets hockey team and the Blue Bombers football team).

I think as the week wears on he may find it more tiring than usual - at his other job he only worked Tues. Wed and Fri.
This job is Monday to Friday apparently.

She is directly below my province of Manitoba - we will drive down to North Dakota to go shopping, but now they recommend you bring your passport. We will probably pass through her state this coming summer.
Hope she comes back! (I miss good old kingzeppelin too - he hasn't been on here in a very long time).

That's pretty cool Neese! I would love to be close enough to another SKMB member as to one day possibly meet in person... what a treat that would be.
I miss seeing him here too, he was definitely good value--I hope things with him and his family are okay.
He seems to be dealing with his own things right now.I miss him too.

she always shows up for the reading group discussion. Perhaps i better join in and quit being so lazy.
I think the lack of interest there might be getting her down a little, but I suspect it's not the reason she has been away.
Since my eye issues. I try to read the posts here,
. But really haven't done much reading or taking part in our library activities. I hope to get the ok for new glasses and that should help. I think Morgan has other issues going on too. She has been struggling with somethings. I sure hope to hear from her soon.

Well THAT'S good - I stopped going in there a while back as it was starting to feel a wee bit like an obligation and I felt bad if I did not do my studying
i.e. the old "the dog ate my homework" way of thinking.
I'm very guilty of not participating in the reading club, I haven't tried because I know that I would never be able to fit in the extra reading.. and it might end up feeling like homework... and then my rebel side would kick in and I would avoid it just to get out of doing my homework. I'm not the right person to be in a book club.
I think she will check in soon... (I'm hoping she will have a 'Sons' withdrawal... and it will get her butt back here.
