Classical music, whether Mozart or Beethoven does influence learning ability. First introduced to that concept in college and later used it in teaching. Made a definite improvement in test scores when played in the background.
I grew up doing homework to classical music. It was easy. Later tried it with Top 40, Motown, etc. Couldn't study at all.

Seems all the 'pop' composers, I mean most days can't tell one from another (not like they got a band with its own sound, plus I only hear it on radio), but some stick out.
Of course the big 'B's', Mozart, Chopin, Shubert, Hayden, and I seem to really dig Handel, makes me feel warm and fuzzy, so of course I should hate him, but that lost piece of his, can't recall what its called, is wonderful.
Looove Tchaikof(?)sky on Sunday mornings, he rocks it, and the church bells loose, but WGUC, my local classic station, now does a baroque program Sunday mornings, so I'm diggin' on the oldies but goodies now:biggrin2:
