We started with Daredevil and watched all the way through. Enjoyed it.

Started with Jessica Jones, but it was just so negative and without much of revelation of why she's super. We didn't watch past the episode where she hooked up with Luke Cage. It just had stopped getting our attention.

Didn't watch Luke Cage. Didn't watch Iron Fist.

But then, based on recommendation, we watched Marvel's Defenders. It was, what, eight episodes, and we semi-binged on it. And Luke Cage was a favored character in there for us, so now we feel like we have to go watch his series, but maybe first go back to Jessica Jones to see where he fits in on that storyline.

And Marvel finally came out with a new season Jessica Jones. So yeah, we're pondering retrying the first season.

Still not crazy about watching Iron Fist. In the Defenders, I liked his sidekick much more than him.

Any thoughts on this miniverse of Marvel's?

My favorite of the series was the first Daredevil, then The Defenders. Luke Cage. Second Daredevil (SO many strains on my suspension of disbelief in that one! I do like the actors, though, aside from the one playing Karen.). Jessica Jones--thought it was pretty meh. I didn't finish either The Punisher or Iron Fist. I thought The Punisher was the best part of Daredevil season 2, but his solo show lost my interest pretty early. Iron Fist falls under the weight of the main character's excruciatingly bad acting--lol. My 12 year old liked it, though. Not sure if I'll bother with the second season of Jessica Jones.

Thank you for that, and I had forgotten about Punisher. I agree, he was a really good part of that season. But even in that, I wasn't interested in a whole show based on that character, even as well-drawn as it was.

We like Karen. You know who we really like? Vincent D'Onofrio. And I'm glad we got through Defenders to learn more about Madame Gao.

So looks like we need to see Luke Cage. As for Iron Fist ... let's leave the Westerner learning the mystic warrior ways of the Orient to Benedict Cumberbatch. Or, heck, Alec Baldwin as Lamont Cranston. Even David Carradine. The guy in Iron Fist simply has no... no gravitas. It's not really my goal in life to go around insulting people, and I'm sure the actor who plays him is a swell guy. But the casting there just has me baffled.

Luke Cage's villain was the stand out in that show. Mahershala Ali (I'm sure I butchered his name) was a wonderfully complex villain.

I think it was the absolutely unbelievable character arc for Karen in DD#2 that got my goat. The actress and character herself seems okay.

And Iron Fist... nah. I couldn't, even for my kid. He finished the series, but it was a big nope for me.

We binged the entire season of The Defenders in one day--lol. Really excellently done show!

We're not big bingers, but that was one where we'd finish up that night's viewing and go... "Okay. Want to see the next?" "Sure!" I think it took us three nights for, what, eight episodes. For us, that's binging.
