Neesy... The ultrasound tech told them that the babies appear to each have their own sac at this point which would most likely make them fraternal twins. But I think its too early to tell for sure.

How wonderful! Make sure she takes it easy, twins are a lot harder a lot earlier than singles.
My girls each had their own chorion and amnion, but there was one placenta. Even with that much information we didn't know if they were fraternal or identical. They could have come from one egg that split early enough to produce the two non-shared membranes, or they could have been two totally different eggs that implanted close enough together for the placemats to fuse into one. Twins are tricksy tricksy creatures!

(It looks like it was OK with a singular placenta, but felt that clearly no one ever needed more than one, so it decided I must mean placemats. No wonder I felt so stuffed the last couple of months I carried them! )
