No, I'm not talking about the illicit substance. I'm talking Mexican Coca-Cola. In glass bottles made with real sugar. Anyone, try it. I'm hooked. Just seems to taste better in the glass bottle and the real sugar does make a difference. Pricey though. About a buck a bottle. I'm enjoying a nice refreshing one now

The best part is they don't add High Fructose Corn Syrup! So always drink their version whenever possible!! =D

I LOVE Mexican Coke. Luckily, it's easily found in Texas. This may not be a good thing... I wasn't drinking soda cause I don't like the taste of high fructose corn syrup, and now I am :( I heard Pepsi is going to make the real sugar variety too :)

Flake... I like beer in a glass bottle best too :) I pour mine into a frosty mug though :)

I'd heard about a month or so ago that Pepsi is planning to start using sugar again instead of high fructose corn syrup in some of their sodas because of the concerns about the corn syrup. Maybe Coke will follow suit for their US production.

We've had sugar Pepsi and Mountain Dew for years-called Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback. I didn't know it wasn't available nationwide! Makes sense, though: UT consumes a HUGE amount of soda/ice cream/sweets of any kind. Good place to market test.

Yeah the Pepsi throwback is great. Whenever I drink soda I usually go for that if it's available. First I'm hearing of "Mexican Coke" but I'm gonna try a bottle if my local stores carry it,

Just thought I'd mention... it's not actually labeled Mexican Coke. It looks like a normal Coke bottle with a paper nutrition facts label slapped on.

Swifty, the Mexican Coke is the cousin of Israeli Coke. One's kosher and the other isn't, but both are made with pure sugar and not corn syrup. That's why both taste better. The container it comes in makes no difference - it will taste the same in glass or aluminum. The sugar and the glass bottle make it more expensive and differentiate it from the non-kosher, corn syrup-sweetened Coke distributed in the rest of the world. Interesting.
