kingricefan ... keep us posted on what happens, I'm so worried about this!

Ashcrash come float down here with us chickee, all will be well...
Will do. I'm probably just being overdramatic about the situation but our store manager is a vindictive man- I've seen him in action. I really did nothing wrong. Here's what happened: last November the portable phone for my department went missing thru no fault of mine (I was off that day) and they have never replaced it. It's now been almost 8 months! I need the phone to take calls from other stores looking for merchandise or from customers doing the same. As it is now I have to either use a phone from another department when the person in charge of that other department is off for the day, or I have to run up to the landline phone on the other side of the store on the days when everyone else is working and they all have their own department phones. It's been hard to do my job without a phone. I'm fed up with it. You can't tell me that a huge company owned by Kroger cannot afford a phone after all of this time. So, I finally got up the nerve to email the District Manager about it because all this time I've been told that it was up to him to authorize the purchase of a new phone. Found out it's all been lies told by the store manager and my department managers. All these months I've been lied to! This is their way of getting me back for being off for my hernia surgery during Christmas. Told you- vindictive!

What do portable phones go for these days? They should get you one with a headset that you could just carry around.

I'm not 'liking' this post. Bastids... I can't stand manipulative behaviour... I'm so sorry, KRF and hope you can find somewhere better to work soon.
