I just saw this flash by on the 'ticker-tape' while watching Good Morning America. Such sad, sad news....
Sounds to me like the boyfriend may have been off meds and had a psychotic break (paranoid schizophrenic) more so than an exorcism. So sad for the granddaughter and family. May she RIP.

...maybe it's only me, but if I saw that type of attack underway-I would at least attempt to distract the attacker, or clobber his dumb-ass into oblivion...I can't stand idly by, risk to myself or not...blessings upon the family of the lost....

It is very sad that another life has been lost to violence and probably mental illness. I feel for all of her loved ones.

I read studies in the past that if there are a few people around then someone may step in, but if there are more people around then everyone is waiting for everyone else to be the hero.
