Hello all. Longtime constant reader, first time poster. I just finished Doctor Sleep. I loved the story but it took me a long time to read because my husband bought it for me last year at Xmas and as I started to read it, was freaked out by the grandma being called Momo. Last year was the first Xmas without my mother- in-law. The grandkids of a close family friend called her Momo. My Momo had actually met or at least spoke with Stephen King through her job so it made me wonder. To make it worse is Momo in the book dies from pancreatic cancer. My Momo did as well. Does Stephen have a little shining? It was at this point I put down the book. I couldn't stop crying. I am glad to have finally finished it. I just wish I could have the opportunity to talk to Stephen about it.

...the essence of what was your Momo still lives in your memory-that deserves a loving smile, and here on the Board-hugs are always freely given...

Welcome - my Mom had that same type of cancer ratlady5678 - at least she died quickly and did not linger on to suffer, which was something she always asked of us (not to be a burden on anyone).
