I have not read 11/22/63, but it sounds really cool! I'm planning to watch or rewatch each adaptation once I finish the book! I am currently finishing up my 4th SK novel (Dolores Claiborne), and have finished Mr. Mercedes and Gunslinger as well. Those books and a few short stories are all I've read so far.
Not sure what it was (maybe the time travel aspect) but something about 11/22/63 really stuck with me.

I had also put aside all my Stephen King reading for quite a few years and this book brought me back - I saw a review in our local paper and ordered it from the library - this in turn somehow led me to the SKMB!

I think this is the best message board on the internet! - I hope you enjoy posting here :):redface-new::cheerful::encouragement:

Hello all, I am somewhat new to these forums, but I wanted to share my Shining Review with you here!

It's part of a new series I am working on called "The Quest Through King" in which I am reading through all of King's works! If you are at all interested in the series or considering reading along with me, there is a thread dedicated to it in the self-promotion section.

I hope you guys like the review! Spoiler alert: I thought the book was incredible!

See, I'd forget it was in the freezer, and then have a booksicle. :m_sweat: Great review, by the way, I enjoyed it! One thing I liked way better than the movie about the book is Wendy had...substance. The movie made her seen like this ditsy, weak wife type, when she so wasn't. The finger-talking thing was kinda silly to me, too.

I'd suggest reading It, especially since the movie's due out soon. It's my favorite by him. (No pun intended!)

I totally agree about Wendy! I had so much more that I wanted to touch upon, but my video started getting too long!

I am so excited about it. I plan on reading it at the beginning of summer! I am a teacher so I probably couldn't tackle that book in two weeks with work. I plan on uploading my review a month or two before the movie!

Questthroughking, that was a great video man. I subscribed to your YouTube channel so I could check out future reviews.

Although I know you focused on the book, I (re)watched the film some months ago and wrote a piece on it. I'm posting the link below in case you're inclined to read it and share your thoughts (was just going to copy and paste but it's kinda long and I'm lazy).

Hey Quest, I was wondering what grade do you teach? What subject? Do they know of your King project?
I teach 8th Grade Math and Science! They do not know about my video series as I don't want any parents upset that I am influencing their children to read material they deem inappropriate. If I was a high school English teacher, I might consider sharing with them. I am actually leaving for Washington DC tonight with the kids for their 8th Grade Trip!

He wrote a Batman Comic!?!? As a comic fan, I wish I had heard about that earlier!
I know he wrote a short story called "Batman and Robin have an Altercation:

I think he did a Batman versus Superman comic. Or was it just a Batman comic. I think it was just a Batman comic. I don't know if he has or is going to do any Marvel superheroes.

Not sure if he actually wrote any comics, but I remember that back in my teen years SK wrote an introduction to the 400th issue of Batman explaining why he loved the character. You can find it here, in case you're interested:
