Is anyone else participating in NaNoWriMo this year? I am, and I'm excited! The goal is 50,000 words in one month. I typically average around 3,000 words a day so here's to hoping I can chug along with no issues.

Set in Taylor Ridge, Alabama during the Bush and Obama administrations, IN SEARCH OF GOD'S COUNTRY is Cole Johnson's coming-of-age story.
Herein lies a tale about small town life and the effects of spiritual longing, sexual experimentation, war, illness. Cole wants to know what home is, for it is not the place in which he was raised.
What and where is God? What does it mean to live under the American flag umbrella? What is freedom, and can it ever truly be attained? These are the questions that must be asked. Cole, like all of us, does his best to answer them on his journey from childhood to college — and beyond.
This is a love letter to millennials.
