In the preface or intro of one of the books (I thought it was the Gunslinger but couldn't find it), King says he wanted to write something significant - I think it was like he wanted to write a work that would "touch the sky" but I cannot remember it exactly. I have looked for it again because it really resonated with me. I know that's vague, but does anyone remember it?
