Every day, my cursor will freeze. I have to unplug my computer to fix it.
Any ideas to fix it permanently?
I cleaned the computer inside the other day, and I have a fan blowing on it. (I read that it may be over heating)
I have gone into the mouse driver, and done a check, with no results.
Help!!

Cursor freezing may be indicative of the processor working overtime because its over taxed running too many processes. If you can go to the task manager and see if there is any one process that is using up a lot of processor CPU, you may be able to get a better idea of what is causing the freeze. It may be a program you can delete or a unnecessary process that is running. Also might want to check your anti virus and make sure it's not running a scan, that takes up quite a bit of your processor CPU.

I have tried 2 other mice, and the same thing happened. This was within the last 3 weeks.
The other 2 were wireless, so I thought the batteries were old or something. I threw away a lot of good batteries apparently.
Now I am using a wired one, and it is still happening. It's driving me nuts!!

Have you tried a diagnostic boot? I run windows 7 so I'm not sure if 10 is exactly the same. Type msconfig in the search bar and click diagnostic startup. Reboot and see if you still have the same problem. This loads only the essential programs needed for startup. If you don't have a problem after the reboot, then it's one of the things loading at start up.
