I guess you could take some scissors to the game and cut out a hole big enough to stick your face through. ;-D

That's the problem. If they'd put down their cell phones and watch the game- ball, they'd see it coming toward them. Duck or catch.

Seems to me, a lot of people are bringing very young children to a lot of games too. Last year at the dome, the night fans were throwing stuff, including beer cans, a woman in the expensive seats blew up because her baby got hit with beer. Now...that is different, because stuff shouldn't be flying at you from the back....but why bring a baby to a baseball game anyway.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in court....and I'm certain it will get there unless they just offer up a big healthy cheque...and even then it still might get there.

Baseball fan hit by foul ball, taken off on stretcher at Rays game

This netting is new, which means they took on the responsibility of keeping people safe. And a woman gets hit with a foul ball and leaves in a stretcher.

It's a baseball game. Go to the game. Eat hotdogs. cheer.

Why does everything have to be scrutinized? You are going to be annoyed, step in sticky stuff (while holding up your popcorn) and get to your seat.

Sit down and watch the game. And look out for flying beers if the inning goes wrong.

It's baseball.

This post makes me sound like a....what's that word?

I hope she is not seriously injured, with no permanent injury. I'm sure that is foremost in everyone's mind.
