Newb to the scene

So...I'm new to the site. I had an old account one time that I used to ask a question about a rare book I have. That book being a Dolores Claiborne misprint (it is manufactured like the others, but ends abruptly with no ending). I got the answer to my question of what the value of such a book might be, and have yet to return, until now.

I'm more or less looking for a hangout spot. I've trudged through much of King's work and feel that I could be a benefit to the site. I think I could cure my own itch of joining an internet forum and also be beneficial to the community at the same time. I'm not an expert on everything but I know the drill. If I stick with it then maybe I could learn some things as well. You know, pick up on spots I've missed during my own time under the lamp.

What a quick and absolutely terrific response!

As for the usage of the word "trudge," I will fully explain. I read the book Alcoholics Anonymous (of some of you may be familiar)...and in that book there is a classic and famous quote. That quote being: "as we trudge the road to happy destiny." I was merely copying that sentence in my own.

No - but seriously - Welcome to the SKMB!

Welcome. For a future post consider answering the question (500 words or less), Why do you like reading Stephen King?

Well, basically I like reading Stephen King because I'm a SK junkie. I have been since I can remember. I have zero instances in my recollection of where I haven't had one of his books close by. It's not a matter of if, but when. I haven't read everything he's written and to me that's a major flaw in who I am. The two books he's written that have impacted me most are Insomnia and Wolves of the Calla; Though I struggle with which one is better. Insomnia hit me in my youth and had a major impact on me...while the Calla story resonates largely on how I see the eclipse of the DT. I'm just a happy fan.

What I was told was that I was right to suspect my book was rare. There's an obvious flaw in the book. At least 100 pages are missing from the binding (there not ripped or torn). The thing is that unless you find a buyer your probably not looking at much value. Perhaps if it was signed it would be worth more. What I find interesting about this book upon doing research is that I haven't found others like it. It must have happened one time and one time only. Either that or no one is reporting the error but me.

...errors are common-and while yours is a different sort, I'd say the Bindery belched on your copy.....so it's a neat keepsake and not a fortune in waiting...
