I have been here long enough to know I am not going to figure this out on my own so laugh if you must but after that some help would be dandy! How the heck do I see recent new posts? Every day I swing by, my "new post" counter is at over 21,000. Is there a way to see actual recent new posts or replies anywhere other than under "alerts." And is there a way to reset my "new post" ticker? Thanks for any help or tips!

Don't log-in and click 'Recent Posts'
Click on the number of new posts you see. The 21,000 in this case, that will get you to the new posts page. Then go see the thread Tiny started about new posts. Ms. Mod has an explanation on how to clear them out in that thread.

I see new posts even if I refresh the page, after hitting new post button.
You don’t often see all the recent posts in chronological order when you’re logged in. Try it and compare.
What if someone posts something to a thread after you've already looked at the thread (since you've logged in). Does it appear if you click 'New Posts?'
New Posts reflects all posts you have not read regardless of which thread they're in.
I just did it to compare and they were different. The post (#2) in "Recent Posts" was missing from "New Posts."
This thread confuses me. Please don't write manuals.....
Real men don't need them, and would rather spend hours trying to figure something out on their own then reverting to reading the manual.
