Been awhile since I've checked in. Not sure where this topic belongs, but here goes. I've been on a horror movie bender for the last couple of weeks courtesy of Netflix and Amazon Prime. None are SK related - just some things that were recommended that I decided to check out. Most are little independents, but there are some good ones worth seeing if you like this kind of stuff. I've watched these titles (in no particular order):
1) The Invitation - watched this last night. Very effective.
2) The Transfiguration - nice take on the vampire story, reminded me of George Romero's Martin
3) Killing Ground - This one is soul crushing. For more hardcore fans of the genre.
4) The Devil's Candy - A little less disturbing, but not much
5) The Void - fun, 80s throwback flick. Reminded me a little of John Carpenter's The Thing.
6) The Blackcoat's Daughter - Also worth seeing, interesting structure.
Just throwing them out there...
