Y'all had a big party and I missed it! Dang! I was so busy. I'm hoping that it will be on E Fashion Police tonight. Mostly I just like watching the fashion. Here's my thoughts:

Worst dressed (mostly because I expect better from her)
Heidi Klum: What was she thinking? This chiffon toga is horrid!)

I wish I looked like her. Not my favorite dress, but it's very sexy.

I just love this.

All of this is just based on the photos I saw on CNN . I haven't seen the full show, so I might be updating. I thought Lady Gaga looked good. And Charlize Theron looked great, but I only saw the back of the dress.

Yay Leo! He's been at this for so long. Remember him in What's Eating Gilbert Grape? That's the first thing I remember him from (unless Basketball Diaries came first, but I don't think so). Anyhow, he really deserved that. He did win, didn't he? I'm just going by Grandpa's post up there.

I haven't read through the whole thread so sorry if this came up already but what did everybody think of Lady Gaga's performance on the piano? It looked like she was having a seizure! I don't know. I feel bad for saying it because she was present with all of those sexual harassment victims. I feel bad for the victims and what they had to go through. I'm glad that the Academy Awards gave exposure to the issue.

I'm pretty surprised at Heidi. I watch Project Runway and have always enjoyed her fashion sense. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder and one man's lovely red carpet gown in another man's chiffon mop head. Jebus! Heidi, really?

Here's something right outta of left field. When I was a kid I used to think gowns were called gownds. Go figure.

I'm a Project Runway watcher too - I don't get it - maybe she had to wear the loser.
That's cute: gownds!

I thought the Lady's performance was outstanding, and judging by all of the tears that were flowing in the audience, I wasn't alone. Gaga has her own way of performing when she is at the piano- it goes all the way back to when she played small clubs and bars in NYC (just type in Stephanie Germanotta on YouTube if you want to see some early performances). Not only was she 'present' with the sexual assault victims on stage, she herself is a sexual assault victim (rape victim at the age of 19)- that is why this song and documentary is so very close to her heart.

Yes, Leo won (FINALLY!!!)! He did This Boy's Life with Robert DeNiro first, Gilbert Grape was next. Next up was Marvin's Room, again with DeNiro, also starred Meryl Streep.

Oh - I forgot he was in This Boy's Life - oh that was so good - wasn't it an autobiography from Tobias Wolff? I loved Marvin's Room too. It was funny and sad - my favorite movie combination.

...I have had to back away and come at the Lady from a different angle, i.e. a more open mind-I liked her hits for the most part-but the goofy-ass outfits and everything just flipped this old rock & roller's switch the wrong way....but as she has branched out, or at least made her various vocal stylings more evident-I have seen and appreciated how good she is.....she could be quite the chanteuse.....

Not a Lady Gaga fan per se, but her performance of a difficult song was brilliant. The strong notes she hit were amazing.
