Even if you do not live in Toronto, but fly in using the airport, contact them. Just be honest about who/where you are and why this matters to you.
To Porter Friends:

As you may know, Porter has submitted a proposal to Toronto City Hall that would allow us to fly you to more destinations from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, including Vancouver, Miami and Los Angeles.

You may have heard that Porter’s proposal is stalled, delayed or postponed. That’s not the case.

This Thursday, City Council’s Executive Committee will decide if the full city council should vote on our proposal on December 16.

The majority of people in our city want Porter’s plans to proceed. Your support is critical now because council needs to know that you want this vote to happen – and you want them to vote yes. If you don’t take action, a minority who want to close the airport may end up deciding for us.

Tell City Council that you support Porter’s proposal because:

  • Porter creates competition and helps reduce fares by up to 60% on the routes we fly
  • The CS100 we hope to add to our fleet is the quietest commercial jet in production today
  • The proposal will add 2,000 new jobs and $250 million to the economy
If you’ve emailed your councillor, please do it again. If you’ve called your councillor, please do it again. If you haven’t, we need your support today. It’s easy to do at
www.porterplans.com.

We can only make this happen if city hall knows you want it to.
