Here's a thought: The planet can no longer sustain the brood of these self-absorbed idiots who use their vagina's as clown cars and spread the fruit of their ignorance all across the landscape.

STOP.

Do NOT pass go..... Do NOT collect 2 million dollars from the d'bag programming manager for TLC who thought it would be an awesome idea to give you a show.

Just STOP.

What kind of doctor would do that? And who paid for the fertility treatments?

My brother and his wife went through them, and thought our provincial health care doesn't cover it, they were fortunate her private insurance did...because it is expensive.

I don't understand. If the yougest child wanted a "little brother or sister to play with" why not the grandkids or nieces and nephews? Is she going to start doing porn like the OctoMom to pay for all of this? :zip_it:

OctoMom did/does porn? Must be like chucking a sausage up a freeway, let alone an alley.
But hey, mebbe think about how you're going to pay for the kids before you go for the record, eh?
Imagine in school. "What does your mommy do?" Kids: "She gets f***** for a living." Teacher's probably thinking 'Don't we all?' but...Mommy Dearest ain't exactly role model of the year, no matter how much she 'earns'.

Anyway...
Just MO, of course, but while IVF treatment can be a good thing for those who want kids but can't for whatever reason, but who also don't want to adopt - again for whatever reason - it shouldn't be given to people who've passed the point where it'd be biologically possible.
To be clear, a woman without kids might not be able to carry to term or become pregnant for some other reason despite having an otherwise normal cycle. In those cases, I think, IVF is fine.
In those cases where the woman either has kids but can't get pregnant/carry to term again and/or has gone through the menopause, treatment should be denied - even where they have the means to pay - on the grounds of ethics.
It doesn't matter if they want another or Billy wants a sister or whatever. They should just be grateful for the kids they have and either foster or adopt if it means that much. There are plenty of kids out there who are desperate for a good, stable home, and who (for the most part) would eventually come to appreciate it no matter what difficulties presented themselves.
There's also a case for being even more strict and ruling it out for everyone until such time as a) every child in state care has been fostered out or adopted, and b) the global population has reached an optimum level for sustainability. That, for me, would be a bit too draconian...but the case can be made.
