What a sweet surprise. On Saturday Our son got some mail from our police Department. He received an award for his generous donation of movies for needy children at Christmas time.
Along with it he received . He got a medallion for Professionalism,Integrity,Honor and Respect. He received a real patch that says Police city of lavergne. Just like the officers where. Also a really nice ink pen. Here is a pic after we framed it. This is on his bedroom wall and we are so proud of him.
These movies were movies he got for his birthday,Christmas and other occasions ,instead of taking them back as he already had these, he saved them for the needy Christmas program. Last year he donated over 100 stuffed animals.

That's very generous of him - he looks like he is getting big - way to go, Linda!
Congrats to Mikey

I agree with everyone who said you deserve all credit for the way you're bringing him up, but...there is an element of "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". So, while he is a credit to you, he is (perhaps most importantly) a credit to himself.
He's a good lad and, while he didn't do it in the hopes of reward, it's nice to see his actions have been recognized (so well done the cops, too).
