Hello all,
I am a HUGE King fan and just re-read The Shining. I am also a resident of Colorado and work at a law firm. I am going through old files and am working on a company that we represented that did some construction on The Stanley Hotel. On the checks that were cut that came through our office, the company that owns The Stanley is called The Overlook Partners. I am wondering if this is something that Mr. King knew and used or if anyone knows why he picked The Overlook as the name for the hotel in the book? This is just too freaky of a coincidence!
