Oh yea good point! I'll ballpark it around 32 y/o. I remember somewhere it was mentioned that she and Norman married weeks after she got out of high school. Which would have placed here near 18 when the marriage started. Thanks!Early thirties? Went back and read a Wiki summary and she leaves her husband after fourteen years,
...any reason why this intrigued you?....
I love that book Rose Madder. I identified with the character even though I was never beat up or abused. I just liked the atmosphere in that one and even the sort of fantasy parts were cool as well.A few parts curiosity many more parts Adoration.
Maybe Tabitha helped - she was working or volunteering at a Woman's Shelter at one time, so perhaps she provided some insight or he just picked up clues from talking with her.Not my favorite King novel.
Quite frankly, I'm not convinced he wrote most of this book... while reading, I kept thinking that a woman wrote a large portion of this one.
It has been a long time since I read Rose Madder, though.
Personally, I suspect that she did a more than just provide insight...Maybe Tabitha helped - she was working or volunteering at a Woman's Shelter at one time, so perhaps she provided some insight or he just picked up clues from talking with her.

Does not strike me as Tabby's writing style or language. SK can do a "femine voice" very well.Maybe Tabitha helped - she was working or volunteering at a Woman's Shelter at one time, so perhaps she provided some insight or he just picked up clues from talking with her.

He was channeling his 'feminine' side I guess - There are actually men out there who can sympathize with women and imagine what it would be like to be in their place. Are you serious? You think that SK would release a novel that he did not write?

Like in his book where the writer starts to get writer's block but luckily has a backlog of books he wrote in the past?*shrugs shoulders*
I think it very well possible that he could have been in a place, time and/or situation in his life that he could have compromised and put his name on a story that his wife may have written at some point in time.
I also think it possible that Rose Madder was written way earlier than when it was published/released.
I try not to upset anyone, but sometimes it happens^ yup, sumpin' like that
Nope, I am at my fulltime job today... just waiting on slow printer and trying to keep my mind active between print jobs.I try not to upset anyone, but sometimes it happens
