Along with Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson was at the top of keyboard wizardry. A sincere pleasure to listen to his work in Progressive Rock and beyond.

RIP

I recently re-discovered ELP and the wizardry of Mr Emerson. Whatever the circumstances, it's still such a sad loss.

I'm no doctor, but I think suicide is rarely all about one thing. From the outside looking in, it can appear that way, but nobody can ever truly know what is in another person's head.

I hope his family and close friends find peace and don't feel guilt.
...you are correct, but there is generally one thing that finally precipitates the act....as a survivor of suicide myself, I know it will take time for the family to accept, forgive and continue with their own lives....still, a little piece of that guilt will never leave and will prick at the psyche forever....

Agreed.

If by survivor of suicide you mean you attempted, then I'm glad this is something you failed at. If you mean a loved one committed suicide, I hope you feel more peace than guilt, and more and more peace as time goes on.

...it was not I...but my sister in law...and I will admit fleeting thoughts over the years of suicidal ideation, but seeing what it did to my wife, it is nothing I would ever carry out....
