I agree. And I'm no saint but can't stand it anymore. Just watched Horse Whisper the other day. Now that's a movie.
I rewatched this not long ago too. Very well-done.
I love a laugh, and I'm no prude, but vulgar isn't necessarily funny. Sometimes it is--Kevin Smith can be incredibly vulgar, but I find many of his movies really, really funny. I think the difference is that the vulgarity isn't the story; it comes from the construction of the characters and the story, and most often is making a bigger point than just being gross, KWIM?

I guess the last buddy flick I saw that I really liked was Knocked Up and that has been many movies ago.
The last one I really liked was Due Date. Funny, but not driven by gross-out or sex. Crazy, Stupid, Love had a pretty good 'buddy' aspect, too, and I laughed hard at that one
