What is the purpose of a middle name, except for a parent to use when they are angry at their children? I guess a middle name serves its purpose if you are given a boring first name like Mary, Peggy or Billy (and why do assassins seem to always have their middle names used?), but otherwise it is something that just strikes fear in the hearts of children.

I had a friend in high school who was given a "family" name.....Apparently, all the first male children born in his father's family had to have the same first and middle name, and he was the sixth first born male. No one ever called him by any of those names, though.
I call him by his real name sometimes now, when I'm mad at him.....he hates it.

I like any kind of leafy green vegetables. Sometimes I simmer them in chicken broth and add red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. They take about 45 minutes to an hour. You just have to check them. As you said, you can make them too mushy. I like them with ham hocks too. Simmer the smoked ham hocks for an hour, then add the chopped collard greens and simmer for another hour. You can make them in the microwave too. I use a big corning ware with a glass cover. In the microwave I just use chicken broth and use the soft vegetable sensor.
Thanks! I'll try again :)

Well, I was going to explain that the assassins don't use their middle name until they are caught, so that all the other guys named John Doe don't get confused with John Assassin Doe, but Flake and OoO answered you already, so carry on!=D

I have a couple of relatives named Mary. They all used their middle names in conjunction with their first name. Did you? :)
No. The only ones who did that were my family. I was named after my grandmother who I never saw because she died when I was very young. (Mary) <y middle name is my mom's name. (Helen)
When they would say my name it came out as 'Mer hern'.

I don't have a middle name. My parents were both given middle names they absolutely hated, so they tried to spare me I guess. :)
