These two suggestions, which in my mind are somewhat similar, are amazing but dependent on how much you enjoy dystopian science fiction.
The Silo Series by Hugh Howey is one I respect greatly. Rejecting traditional publishers Howey decided to self-publish his series to mass success. I can see why. The three novels are incredible, and feature a very strong female protagonist which for the longest time was rare in science fiction.
Red Rising trilogy by Pierce Brown is my latest affliction. I cannot get it out of my brain, I cannot put the books down. The last and final book isn't even released yet, not until February 9th and so I am clinging to the last few pages of book #2 with a death grip. I don't want it to end, I need my answers. If a book can make me this obsessed I usually take it as a sign that it's a pretty good book. I felt the same with the Silo series.
Do you like a dystopian future? Then you'll like these books
Do you like a light sprinkling of science fiction? Then you'll like these books, they're not the type of sci-fi to overwhelm you.
Do you want to read a trilogy that will drive you mad until you finish every last page? Then check these out!
