That's probably my favorite of all King movies--definitely my favorite TV movie! I think it ended well (not happily, but well). Part of being a good writer is knowing when the story is over :)
I didn't like it when it first aired- I noticed that they used one of the storm scene's twice and thought it was going to be a cheap TV movie, but after watching it a second time (without commercials) I realized it was a great story!

One of my alltime favorites! 30 days of night really reminded me of this, even though they were two completely opposite stories. I wish King would, or would have done something exactly like 30 days of night. OR even had been the man behind that awesome story, movie. Anyway, nice adaptation & that entire opening to it always creeped me out!

I loved it and found it very creepy. The very first thing I did after it was over was look up the movie credits to see who played Andre Linoge because he was awesome. Also I always like Tim Daly and Casey Seizmasko (spelling?) was in one of my favorite teenage movies....3 O Clock High anyone?

The guy who played Andre Linoge is a wonderful character actor - he has a lot of class, actually. He was also very good in Bon Cop, Bad Cop

Colm Feore is a very good actor. I first noticed him in "Night Falls On Manhattan". There is a great scene where he tells off his boss, the obnoxious NYC D.A. (a man who plays his New York Jewish background to the full tilt for political purposes) who is always giving him a hard time about being a WASP. "Let me tell you a saying of my people Morgey. Go **** Yourself!" He delivered that line with both venom and sarcasm. Made an impression.

Overall it was excellent but , I found the ending to be a bit too depressing . It could use a follow up.
