Paul Walker dead at 40: 'Fast and Furious' star killed in fiery car crash
The star of "The Fast and the Furious" movie franchise and a passenger died after his vehicle crashed into a tree his agent confirmed to the Daily News.

Paul Walker, 40, reportedly died in a car accident in California on Saturday afternoon. Here, Walker attends the "Fast & Furious 6" world premiere in London, England, on May 7.

"The Fast and the Furious" movie star Paul Walker, 40, has died in a car accident Saturday afternoon in southern California, his agent confirmed to the Daily News.

The accident occurred in Santa Clarita — outside of Los Angeles — when Walker's Porsche apparently lost control and crashed into a tree.

Jim Torp, who was also at the event, identified the second victim as Roger Rodas, a pro racer and father of two who owned Always Evolving Performance Motors. Torp described how Rodas’ 8-year-old son tried to save his dad.
“I ran over afterwards, I was trying to find Roger’s son,” Torp said. “I found out his son had jumped the fence and gone over, he was trying to get his dad out.

That's the saddest part of the whole thing. An 8 year old boy trying to save his daddy from a car on fire.
