I had to deal with people like that when I was in retail.I got so I hated people from New York.
I was in retail for 18 years. I know what you are saying!
I wanted to reach across the counter, and slap the he!! outta them!
I'm not rolling because of the way she treated the workers but how she ran into the door! It totally reminded me of this Far Side comic:

These people who think the entire cosmos revolves around them are really, really dumb.
When I worked in the sandwich shop, none of us liked our job. Not even our boss. We would joke around that the sneeze guard was there for the protection of the customer, not the food. And someone brought up the point that these people are messing with an entire crew of workers who; run a piece of machinery that can cut through bone like butter, has access to multiple sharp knives, and has at least two places to hide a body. (We had really big freezers)
Thank goodness none of us were completely unhinged, or there would have been a squib on the local news: " Sandwich shops now serving long pork."

Can't help but concentrate on what's on the plate. WTH is that? Bugs? Cicadas? Simmered in a Soylent Green Sauce? Someone was having a bad day, or someones.
I worked for Shaws ( grocery store) for many years between age 16 and 29.In my teens I was able to pull off "the customer comes first schtick".As I got older?Not so much! One day my boss pulled me into her office(she was cool) and told me I needed to fix my face! Hahaha.She told me that even though I wasn't "saying" anything -my face was.I'm sorry but the lady who bought a crapload of lobsters with food stamps just about did me in.It was a rather large bill! Ok,I can't even get started on that.
Had to look again. Perhaps it was the forbidden green peppers?
Heh! Yeah, I heard something about peppers...red/green...didn't understand exactly what the complaint was...also wondered, what? she's still walking out with the food, right? I s'pose she paid for it...in more ways than one.
Her kid would not eat anything green! Don't they know that?
I just can't imagine anyone getting away with this in NZ... if somebody started in on a worker like this, I can just picture the employee jumping the counter and popping her one. Lose ya job? Yeah, probably, but it'd be worth it.
Won't eat the green huh, bet they eat the ever lovin' sh!t out of green M & M's, and wash 'em down with a barrel of Mountain Dew.
That's why Mommy deserves a broken nose, and some folks get their druthers up when a first lady says, hey let's try eating healthier.
Man if I'da whined, or even looked like I was going to pout, about eating green veggies, because they were green, my Mama would fed me green everything, and for as long as it took for green to become my absolute favorite color, green bread, green peanut butter, green boloney, green noodle soup.....
Oh she'd of made stuff green alright alright, and I'da ate it, you just bet I would I would, you ate what she put in front of your pie hole, but then she busted her can seven days, working lord knows how many jobs a week, to put it there.
