If there's someone on this board who DOESN'T love Marsha they need to go away. Fast.

I love Ms. Mod, but I can't deny that I'm still a little miffed at her for not accepting my generous offer of a lifetime supply of cheesecakes in exchange for re-routing SK's book tour to Kentucky. It was only later I read that article with Steve talking about his favorite foods that I learned that he loves cheesecake as well and I deduced that Ms. Mod was unwilling to let her boss find out about the cheesecake offer and share with him. So instead he winds up in France. Where they eat snails. Disappointing. :(

Please tell me you've seen The Take! I think it was on STARZ Encore--4 episodes based on the book by Martina Cole. Seriously awesome acting.

The point being I guess, is that people are having fun? We do endeavor to keep threads on topic when we can, but not to the point (granted) that conversation becomes stifled and people lose interest. If those kinds of threads don't appeal to you, then perhaps sticking to the Book/Movie/TV and Other Projects sections may be more to your liking?
(Many of those threads are looking a bit empty and bare because we have just moved over to new software, perhaps you'd like to post into those threads... liven them up a little? :) )

Flake, you are one of the kindest, most diplomatic people on this board, and GREAT at your job. Thank you.

I know this to be true. Years and years ago, I sent a piece of artwork I made to Marsha of the Dominique nique nique singing nun done in Macaroni. It was super cool. And, it was interactive. You pressed a button on the portrait and the music of that song played. Yes, this was a joke. It goes clear back to when steve was auctioning off a part in one of his books. I offered a macaroni portrait as my bid. I know that Steve pushed the button on this Dana Jean original.

In Duma Key, I can't remember what page (maybe Marsha can do a "macaroni art" word scan and find the page) but in Duma Key, Steve talks about Macaroni art. I completely 100% know that my Macaroni Nun was the inspiration for that entry into the Stephen King canon.

Page 170:

" ........So if the Happy Art Galleria down the street discovers they can sell painting of Elivis done in macaroni on velvet for ten thousand dollars, Mary would."

One thing that is different about the new board is that there is no longer a "main board" and then a sort of 'hidden' board that you could only get to from your profile page. So now all those crazy games are on the [main] only board (if that makes sense). So to someone discovering SKMB for the first time they might think all we do all day is play trivial games rather than discussing serious topics

:hmm:
