I am so disappointed at the direction the movie is taking. My image of Roland is concrete and changing it so drastically for the purposes of demonstrating non-discrimination or whatever is maddening! Add to that the changing of characters and their contribution to the story...like Tirana...and you get a movie that is anything but what he books created.
The story is monstrous and condensing it to a 2 hour movie is impossible without losing most of what makes it great.
I will not be watching this movie because the story is too important to me to be ruined by some production team mangling what has been such a comfort over the years.
