Stephen for some odd reason denies they ever went to his house. But Marky and Dee Dee talk, in their books, about how they discussed Stephen's house collections, like sci-fi films, just weird. Than again, this is a guy who can't remember writing whole novels!

If both Marky and Dee Dee say it, I'm inclined to believe them. On the other hand, if the Ramones visit your home, you would remember it I think. It's hard to say, and in the end not all that important. It's just strange that SK flat out denies it.

Maybe it was a supernatural thing, where Marky and Dee Dee were in some alternate dimension version of SK's house.

I don't know, what purpose would Marky and Dee Dee have for making this up, Dee Dee exaggerates in his book but I trust Marky. I think it comes down to Stephen not remembering because of something or another. Maybe its The Ramones from The Stand universe or something.

There are even Ramones jigsaw puzzles of the album covers, if you want to 'pick up the pieces'.

That pun though! Only real Ramones fans will get that, bah bah bah bah bah bah

It's not SK just not remembering, he denies it strongly. He says it's absolutely not true. But since it's two of the Ramones saying it both, I think it's probably true. Maybe they went to another home, of some friend or agent of King, where the Ramones thought it was King's home. But then, King's home is pretty iconic and hard to miss.

I was teasing. I'm sure they were all lovely gentlemen.

When the Ramones started out and weren't that well known yet, radiostations were hesitant to invite them to their studios. They were afraid the Ramones were gonna puke on their equipment or something. Punk rock was a totally new thing at the time, I don't think rock 'n roll up til that point had had such a 'dirty' and raw image yet.

I had the 'Sedated' song running through my head all day today......:smile-new:
This was the first song that Marky Ramone recorded with the band (he took over on drums for Tommy Ramone, who stayed on as a producer). He says the song was completed very quickly in the studio, and his part took just two takes. Regarding the musical inspiration for the song, he explained in his Songfacts interview: "We always loved the '60s groups: The Kinks, The Who, The Beatles, The Stones, Dave Clark Five, etcetera. And we loved what was done by The Searchers, a band from the '60s from part of that British Invasion. So we attempted to do our way of doing it, our style, which came out great."
