Q: In the book Bag of Bones how did Mattie Devore's husband die?
Very good. Yes, while retrieving a wrench from the trailer roof he fell from the ladder and broke his neck. They believe lightning startled him.He died in a fall (off a roof?)
Q: What was his first name?
Yes, that's right.Thomas..
Q:What state was the prep school in that Jack Torrance was canned from and had to leave after assaulting a student?
Yes, that's right.
Hmmm, I want to say it was in Vermont. Not 100 percent. I do remember he assaulted the student that stuttered.
Q: In Skeleton Crew what is the title of the story about a band hired to play for a mobster's obese sister?
Yeah, Stovington (I think that's a fictional town). Didn't Al Shockley, Jack's friend who helped secure his job at the Overlook, live and work in Vermont? I guess I could read the book again. I'd like to read again Insomnia, 11/22/63, Desperation, and The Talisman.Dats wight,wabbit..Stovington Prep School in Stovington VT..
Gosh Dang I just read that book about a year ago,and enjoy that short story immensely but can't recall the name of it..will have to give in and look it up in my copy or internet cheat..
Yeah,if you recall,Jack and Al were both teachers at the fictional school, and shared a midnight drunken escapade(which if I recall correctly, was based on an incident SK had when he was a student, driving around and stealing flashing road barriers while hammered).Al got him the job after Jack went after the kid slicing his tires..Yeah,I just finished Insomnia again last month, one of my favorites,Ralph Roberts was a righteous dude..Yeah, Stovington (I think that's a fictional town). Sure, look in your copy.
That's right. And while with Al, both inebriated, Jack fears he may have hit a person on a bicycle but only the bike is recovered.Yeah,if you recall,Jack and Al were both teachers at the fictional school, and shared a midnight drunken escapade(which if I recall correctly, was based on an incident SK had when he was a student, driving around and stealing flashing road barriers while hammered).Al got him the job after Jack went after the kid slicing his tires..Yeah,I just finished Insomnia again last month, one of my favorites,Ralph Roberts was a righteous dude..
I started rereading this book fairly recently and stopped at this point.Q: In the novel Needful Things, who did Nettie Cobb think killed her dog? Who REALLY killed it?
Q: What was the dog's name?I started rereading this book fairly recently and stopped at this point.
I think Nettie thought Wilma killed her dog, but it was Hugh. (?)
Exactly right!I started rereading this book fairly recently and stopped at this point.

Exactly right!
The dog's name was Raider? I feel like it started with an 'R'.
You need to keep reading! So much more happens.I started rereading this book fairly recently and stopped at this point.

I read it when it was first released. Started rereading because I'm always looking for SK books my mom might enjoy. I seem to block out a lot of the "animal stuff" and my mom really flipped out when she read Duma Key. (I completely spaced that scene out!) So when I got to that part in NT, I quit and moved to another book. You need to keep reading! So much more happens.
You might try Thriftbooks.com,Kingricefan told me about it,I checked and they have a copy hardcover in good condition for $3.59,I think they have free shipping also, don't know if their has to be a certain dollar amount reached for that, but I have ordered from them and they are cheap and fast..That's right. I liked Insomnia because it feels so closely linked to IT and The Dark Tower. My memory fades when it comes to the end. That's a good thing since I want to reread it. Maybe a fellow member has a copy they want to get rid of or trade. I may go buy it when I go get Finders Keepers.
