I hate to ask again, but what is the current status of "Stephen King Revisited?" Mr. Chizmar's last essay was back in the beginning of June.

This is definitely a tough project to do, obviously. However, he may want to think on doing it in a different manner; there has to be a way to speed this up. I'm wondering -- could he do it as a podcast? Would talking about the books make it easier to do? I assume he wants to put all of his essays together into a book, so doing it in the current form is better from that perspective -- i.e., at the end of the journey, he has a marketable product with which to sell. Unfortunately, there's just something wrong with the pacing; believe me, I hate to be critical on this, because I have loved reading his essays.

Maybe he could combine the that-was-then/now parts of the essay in a shorter piece. Eliminate some of the favorites in that section? I don't know. Maybe he could skim the books? That would defeat the whole concept.

There's no shame too in maybe stopping for a while to figure out another method (maybe that's what's happening). It really is a great idea but it's funny, imagine having to re-read all the Tower books, but this time with the pressure of something akin to a homework assignment, a commitment? It could be that this was a tougher thing to do than at first glance. Still, I respect what he is doing with this, and will continue to read any more essays that are posted, whenever that might be.
