Along with my fellow Mods! We could now be called Three Bald Mods.Ms. Mod used to have big hair, but she pulled it all out recently when the board went haywire.

You haven't seen it lately. Have been trying to let it grow out and it's summer with lots of humidity; that plus naturally curly hair can make for big hair. Mucho product is involved for keeping it from going there.
Only after the product, blow dryer, and curling iron have been involved! It's not a pretty sight otherwise. Janis Joplin would understand. We have a selfie thread, Ms mod.
Imagine my chagrin when I bought a first edition of The Catcher in the Rye by D.J. Salinger only to find out it was about Little League baseball in Rye, NY.
Her she is in the old days
Any birds nesting in it yet? Puffins?
Actually her hair is average size, just about perfect for her head.Ms. Mod used to have big hair, but she pulled it all out recently when the board went haywire.

Welcome - it sounds like you've graduated from the "School of Hard Knocks"well that's fine then. I have many books Stephen King has written, both in print and on my kindle. It's strange. Even if I don't read it right away, I still collect his works. Every once in a while I'll re-read one of his books, but mostly I just enjoy having them around, at hand. I can pick up Skeleton Crew or Night Shift when I'm needing to relax with a book (digital or otherwise). Even as a kid I was a fan. This is a true story: I once panhandled the $26.99 or whatever it was to buy the very first hardcover copies of IT when it came out. I probably shouldn't confess this, but I've even shoplifted a book or two when I was a runaway, as a kid. I remember I collected his books on my dresser when I was in a foster home, many years ago.

Me too, I'm never posting any selfies.Only after the product, blow dryer, and curling iron have been involved! It's not a pretty sight otherwise. Janis Joplin would understand.
Was that a movie tie-in edition?I do have one confession. I have somewhat taken aback when I discovered that "A Good Marriage" was nothing more than a couple stories taken from another collection. Actually, I didn't mind that so much, but Amazon purported it as a BRAND NEW COLLECTION, although it was not. It was just a republishing of older stories.
