There is a great website that I enjoy called TV Tropes. in short, the site is about tropes, which are tools of writing, that occur in many forms of tv, movies, or other literature. i don't want to include a link because that might be considered spamming and I'm not entirely certain on this website's policy on spamming yet.

But, it has a huge list of resources for Stephen king, both on him and his books and movies.

Here is an example of a trope from their entry on Carrie:

Beautiful All Along:

Carrie. Justified in the novel; before the prom, she deliberately wore unflattering clothes, because her mother believed that trying to look attractive is sinful. Justified in both the films for different reasons. In the 70s film, Miss Collins suggests that Carrie would look nice if she paid some attention to her appearance. In the 2002 film, she got advice from Sue and is shown reading teen fashion magazines for tips.

Blue is for differentiating the trope text for my text.

But this is a website that really like. It can provide some valuable insights on many things, as well as be a a valuable resource for those who want to be writers.

But fair warning, it is a very huge site and has a ginormous amount of stuff to it.

Well, I hope you enjoy.

Wilmington DE, strange little place.
I have talked about Tropes before. I am interested in "Devices"

some of Kings Devices are : the 13 Balls of Mearlyn, The Brownstone (where Mr Stevens lives)
the DARIA unit from "Wind through the key hole" and of course what is called a "thinny"

Abra and Patrick Danville are people and "Devices" because they are so powerful.
The Kodak camera from Kevin the Sun dog kid.
many, many Paintings from various stories are Devices

There are at least two "spots" that are good devices, the land where the overlook used to sit;
and the land in "Salem's Lot-- Jerusalem's Lot " are called "Dry-cells" by King.
The sewers of Derry may also hold secrets.

there are more

Before Derry was Derry and you and a few working mates are out in the woods to chop down some trees and then they come across Pennywise! We got an outline of this story from Mike Hanlon but it could be a real good story in itself. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide and you are up against something you never dreamed could exist. What do you do, How do you act and how do you survive (if any survive that is). There you have a story being to be written! A prequel so to speak to IT
