 I would read them all again (I think I own the whole series!)
Are you planning to watch the TV series? I'm debating whether to add Starz as I don't have it currently. It starts tomorrow night and they do have the first episode available on-line so still have a little time to think about it. If nothing else, I'd love to see the scenery as it was filmed in Scotland.

I think it starts here at the end of August, but yes, I will watch it - the previews look pretty good so far.

Well, i enjoyed the first books but i think she would do both herself and herself a favour by abondoning it now. Start a new series. She can write, she just have to chose a new subject. The last books seemed a little tired to me. The spark that was frequent in the early books is only occasionally there now. So Gabaldon should drop claire and Jamie and that gang and start a new.

I would agree that the last one (Written In My Own Heart's Blood) felt that way to me although I am still interested in what happens with Claire and Jamie. I haven't read any of her others--the ones that are from Lord John Grey's POV--but would like to see her do something completely different, too.

The best would be if she rounded of the series with a last one and then started a new one. You can only cram so much out of a set of characters. Thats why many series get a little stale after a while. A fresh set of characters would demand a little more work but it is also full of possibilities.

Started the first book of Outlander series and just couldn't stay with it. Heard so much from MsMod and Cat/Tina that I have given it another try. Different time and space in my life and it has been a good read. Am interested in continuing the next book in the series. Totally enjoy the historical parts. Starz not part of my cable package- may have to look into this. Scotland does call to the spirit and soul.

The first one is the best one. I think thats the case with many series.
