Would like to hete what u guys and gals think whatever happened to certain characters in kings books. For example father callahan in salems lot. His faith failed and he took a bus out of town. I don't THINK the book ever said what happened to him. My guess would be the thirst finally got to him to a point where he started feeding or committed suicide. Even though his faith failed he was still a man of the cloth. Therefore suicide not an option. If he does that then spends eternity not in heaven. But if he kills and feeds then same alternative. So i think he must have fed but instead of killing his prey he would turn them. Therefore creating another cell if u will of vampire family. Ofcourse would have to be hunted down by the boy years later as the boy is now in his twenties. Might be a book there.

Whatever happened to Randall flagg on the beach with his worshipers and so on. Like to here your thoughts and ideas on any character hanging in the breeze out there

You might need to read The Dark Tower series. :) (I won't say more, too many spoilers.)

I guess I used a bad example for the point of the thread. It was for members to pick a character from any book and say what happened to him or her in the future with their imagination. Using callahan who I now know shows up in the later dark tower books was an accidental bad choice. Not getting much participation so maybe it's a lame thread. Oh well not all ideas take off. Won't be my first or last. Lol

Nah, it's not lame at all... it's a good idea. Give it some time, folks might just be busy tonight.

It's an interesting thought, like a game. I like it.

After going down the drain, Pennywise went off and joined the Texas Rangers...or tried to...but he was sent west and was told to brush his smile and his shoeshine. Leland Gaunt changed his name and ran successfully for president of the United States, elected by The People on a theme of greed, envy, and needful things.

Give it a chance mate, it's not even a day old yet.

I think the most open end to one of stephen's story's (that I have read yet) is firestarter. I guess this thread will need a lot of spoiler tags because talking about after the end will pretty much reveal the end. So, Charlie:
she goes to rolling Stone magazine's head quarters, demonstrates her powers and tells her story. They do an article on her as a quirky "weird or what?" kind of story and send a letter to the shop saying that they have a story ready to go to print exposing everything if they don't leave her alone, or if anything mysteriously happens to the rolling Stone and / or its editors. The shop agrees but of course keep covert tabs on her allowing her a somewhat normal life with an adopted family.

All goes quite well until her hormonal teenage years when an encounter with a boy on a date who has "wandering hands" and isn't in the mood to hear "no". The car starts getting hotter and so does he, his skin starts to blister and the car starts to smoke before catching fire. Having had time to hone and project her ability at specific places, the boy just about has time to notice that Charlie, and her side of the car are not on fire before he is overcome by the heat and goes into shock. He stops struggling and suffocates on the thick toxic smoke.

In daze she gets out of the car and runs. Unaware of where she's going, she just carries on running until she collapses in heap in a deserted park and allows sleep to take her. She does not dream (sorry, couldn't resist a classic king'ism').

She wakes up in a haze that takes a minute to clear and starts to take in her surroundings. She recognises that she is clearly still in new York, but something doesn't seem quite right. Whilst looking around she jumps at a rattling metallic noise only to realise it's just a can she has accidentally kicked. She glances down at the can - a cheap Coca-Cola rip off called nozz-a-la. What lies ahead is a new chance for a new life in a world with subtle differences such as nozz-a-la cola and takuro spirit cars, and seemingly no government agency called the shop.
