wouldn't be the first time but there was a great Stephen king reference on Supernatural tonight....

Sam and Dean are investigating a case where the victims lose extreme amounts of weight, as if the fat was being sucked out of them..... there also happens to be gypsies so Dean said to Sam: So what have we got here.... a 'Thinner' situation??

One of my favorite recent episodes was "Everyone Hates Hitler".... (they obviously grew up reading the same Weird War comic books I did, golems and Nazis etc.)

Yeah, hence my reference to an old Weird War comic book with a vengeful golem on the cover and in the story tearing the top off of a Nazi tank and yanking the crew out of it...

I used to be a massive fan of supernatural after catching re-runs of season 1. I loved the western feel of the show with Sam and Dean travelling around the back roads of America as this allowed for an area of mystery around the events which they are showing. As it got to later seasons though i felt the show got too big for itself and began to bog down under the weight of its own mythology. Also the constant deaths of the central characters seriously reduced the dramatic element of the show for me. The worst point came with "The French Mistake" which i hated. What did everyone else think of this episode and think that the show has gotten better as it has developed. My favorite episode of the show is without a doubt " what is and what should never be" even though " after-school special" ranks pretty highly.

The title "Everybody Hates Hitler" appears to be a LOST reference as there is a season two episode of that show called "Everybody Hates Hugo"....

Jumped the shark ?

I reckon.

This season I finally got off the Winchester bus, and let it move on.

Why?

The mist episode was really bad. To the point i was waiting for the bloody handprint on the supermarket glass door . And it so nearly happened.

The sad thing is God finally , FINALLY appeared
and it was the writer prophet skin bag dude
. Pity it took so long to have an episode with him in.

Meh

That guy being God in the Supernatural-verse does make sense.... and every good show has to come to an end. This will probably cause things to wrap up for Sam and Dean ...maybe they can show up as Negan's associates on TWD....
