Hi All, Mr. King,
I just wanted to express my thanks for the permission Stephen King gives me to be creative.
I'm Vance Gilbert, a singer-songwriter that some of you may or may not have heard of. I play all over North America. You might say I drive for a living interspersed with moments of music. Truly there is only so much music one can listen to on these long turnpike drives, so in the mid 90's I turned to audiobooks.
Although having read SK's stuff for years off and on, I have just finished "Bazaar" and I must say that I feel somewhat artistically lifted - like there's no holds on me when my notebook comes out and it's time to write. To be able to turn off the editor from moment number one is the greatest, most seminal part of writing for me, and somehow SK again gives me permission to do that and get immediately to the core of something real and exciting.
Thanks forum folks and moderators for making it so there's a place to post this note
Thanks so much, is all.
