I have had to deal with some of this when I worked for Children's Services. When a young girl thinks it is a big treat to have jello for her birthday, she is probably not being raised in a wonderful atmosphere.Heartbreaking, the little guy trying to sell his bear, but unfortunately those kinds of situations do happen, and he did his job,the cop, that is..
Some of the worst are where the child is a smart kid,and knows that his parents are rotten, through either drug use, alcohol,or what have you..seeing the shame on a little kid's face,as he or she tries to ignore the fact that police are trying to sort out their parent's bullcrap,is the worst..hated seeing a child being ashamed of their house and circumstances.
This is why I could never be a teacher. I would either want to choke the little f**kers out, or I would be sobbing in the storage closet over some little kid.I have had to deal with some of this when I worked for Children's Services. I found out a young former client of mine died today. It is hard to see this ending.......for the second time for me.This is why I could never be a teacher. I would either want to choke the little f**kers out, or I would be sobbing in the storage closet over some little kid.
When I helped at school, I always told the teachers, I won't work with the kids. Give me everything else to do, but let other parents work with the kids.
shoot. I am so sorry.I found out a young former client of mine died today. It is hard to see this ending.......for the second time for me.
anyone, anyone who works with kids in crisis, elderly, handicapped -- Every single one of you will be blessed. Such a tough job. I just couldn't do it.Part of my teaching days was at a Early Childhood Development Center that had several court ordered children in attendance. Breaks ones heart.
May the children now feel safe and protected.
My favorite are the street people. I stay in contact with many of them. Give a tenner here or there or buy them something to eat. They captured my heart.anyone, anyone who works with kids in crisis, elderly, handicapped -- Every single one of you will be blessed. Such a tough job. I just couldn't do it.
It probably gave that young boy a positive role-model for the first time. A police officer. He may aim to become one. Little circumstance can change a person's life.At least it put the police in a positive light at a time when so many are quick to criticize and label the majority of them as abusive and racist. Heartbreaking story about the kid though

Think the kids got taken with a custody order and sent to relatives but where were the relatives before? Life is hard for some kids for sure.Very true. I want to know where that little kids parents are. They may have little money but they can at least keep their home clean!
