Woke up to this lovely smell:
I know it looks cute, but it sure doesn't smell that way. I don't want to let Sammy out until I'm sure he has cleared the area.
He's been busy doing Danny's homework anyway.
I am getting excited about the Halloween story and the Kon. I hope I'm not dropping the ball on my end of the Kon stuff, but I suspect there will be more to do as it draws nearer.
I have taught 4 classes today, and now the hard parts of the day: trip to the dump, find the source of the stickiness all over Alex's room (and Alex) and eliminate it
, grocery store, bank . . fill out and submit direct deposit form, blah blah, and try to deal with Alex's new tantrum stage
.
On a positive note, Danny's teachers all had great things to say about him, but it is early in the year (the honeymoon stage of the school year).
I shared part of a screenplay I've been writing at my creative writers' group for women last night, and I received a lot of encouragement and some good feedback. I might take some structured writing time today to plod on with that project.
Anyhoo, I'm glad to be here. I'm always checking in, even if it seems like I'm not on as much anymore. The Halloween Story will make my attendance here mandatory, and I'm glad of it. Have a great Friday everyone!

Clowns can’t seem to catch a break anymore. Ringling Brothers circus closes down, creepy clowns spotted all over wold, Clown Lives Matter march canceled over death threats in Arizona, and now the revival of It. As someone who is often called a Clown, I feel a bit of remorse for a semi-kindred brethren.

I've been so exhausted after work for the last two nights that I've overslept yesterday and today, not waking up until 7:30. (I'm usually up before 6:00)

The smell that I woke up to this morning is emanating throughout my home. It is decidedly stronger inside the house than outside. Sammy does not smell, so we have come to the conclusion that the skunk was or is in a crawl space under our home. It could have possibly been by our front door and gotten a whiff of Sammy, prompting it to spray. How do I get rid of the smell? It is actually giving me a headache.

Hard to eliminate it if you don't know the source.
Their are some Simple Solution products they sell at the pet store that work pretty good once you do identify the source.
Brody Dog and I had to make a detour from our normal walking route last night due to skunk patrols. He soooooo wants to attack these little stripey stink pots!
