Well, I'm back. And many, many posts behind, which I'll never catch up on. It looks like some forum friends are having some difficult time. I'm sorry. Hope things get better soon.

We had a great time. I'll post pictures later in a different thread. I finished first draft of a new novel and did a blog post in the middle of all that. Let's not talk about some frantic moments of getting files back to the office in the middle of the cruise. (The Internet in Haines is useless. Good thing it's got nice scenery.)

Good to be back.
Welcome back!

At least six months. Average time is about a year. Doc said most likely, they'll just fall out on their own.
......I've been wondering about that, though......do they just fall out randomly? I can just picture me working on a client's hair, and all of a sudden this thing falls out of my ear
Better ask Scott - I just type the reports (but from what I have seen in my work they will often extrude on their own; that's usually for the little kids, as they grow bigger)

Good morning, Tet! Here we go - over the hump. I have 6 minutes to visit here. I wish I could freeze time like Samantha could and do some things while the clock stood still. Wouldn't that be the best super power?

So glad you got some tubes Sunny! I bet that did hurt. I don't know that I could have done it. Two of our children got them but they put kids to sleep for the procedure. I'd be sitting at the children's hospital in my jammies waiting my turn.

Cat - I hope all turns out for the best for your husband. I haven't found news about you - do you know anything yet? What was the verdict on your latest tests?

My Ogre is not well. Since June he's been sleeping all the time. That was a major symptom of his when his dad died, he lost his job and his wife went crazy. We got him some meds and he's been fine. A better Ogre than he's ever been. But all summer long he's been coming home from work, sleeping until 7 or so, waking up to eat and falling back asleep in front of the TV. He rarely makes it to bed. And he says it's not peaceful sleep - he wakes on and off all night. So I took him to the doctor yesterday. It could be that his meds are not working. It could be that he's just gotten some bad habits - not exercising anymore, sleeping in front of the TV, etc. Or it could be sleep apnea. It could be anything. So - three vials of blood sent for testing. Hopefully we'll know something soon. We've got teenagers who do not need to see their dad couch hugging all the time.

Oops - there goes my son out to the car to be driven to school. I have surpassed my 6 mins.

Much love and peace to y'all!

Morgan I miss you!

HipmommaJen - you'll be hearing from me soon!!

PAX!

Well, news was not great. Scott did not see the surgeon but an assistant. There is clear evidence of arthritis and she felt that the tendon is at least frayed and also that the spur is tearing his rotater cuff as well.

Next step is an MRI, next Tues, to see what damage there is. Then he meets with the surgeon on the 18th.
Sending calming vibes for you and healing vibes for Scott. May the appointments go quickly and smoothly, and healing time be swift!

As long as it doesn't look like cerebral fluid, don't worry about it.

I'm sorry that your Ogre isn't feeling up to snuff. Sending all positive vibes his way.
.......while they're doing all those tests, be sure to ask about a possible vitamin D deficiency. It's quite common in my area, and it has similar symptoms as you described. My Mom had the same symptoms a few years ago. I'm hoping it will be something easy like that for your Ogre. :love_heart:

You sound like you have such a great life - hunting, and fishing and living in a cool state - best of luck with all the health concerns - so is Scott artistic at all? (I'm saying this because he is left handed - I have a friend who is left handed and he sings and plays an instrument). Something to do with right brain/left brain stuff [or whatever?] :afro:
No, he isn't particularly artistic, unless you count his welding skills! ;-D His dad is also left handed and he is, though. He paints a little bit.

Only one lupus marker was slightly elevated, so nothing to cause concern. So the plan is to just keep them posted on pain. I have been feeling better.

Sending good vibes to you and your Ogre. Hope they can get him feeling better!

(((Grandpa))) Welcome back! Glad you had a nice vacation!
(((All in need or not)))

So, I somehow got roped into planning a farewell party for a co-worker who is retiring next week. Actually, I know how I got roped in, I did it to myself by asking if anything was planned. 3 days before the party date, I get approval. BBQ and potluck it will be! We did get to order her a nice watch as a goodbye gift. And yes, Out of Order, there will be potato salad!;-D
